Wildfire From Space

Coordinated satellite observations and high-flying airplanes assist firefighters fighting and managing wildfires. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) satellite support, combined with planes operated by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), help detect and map the extent, spread and impact of forest fires.
