In 2002 an Army patrol went missing in the Kandahar mountains. A Special Forces detachment of the Green Berets were ordered to find or validate the missing Army patrol. Dan a member of the Special Forces Unit unfortunately gave his life defending his brothers from a Giant ambush after finding a goat trail up a plateau. The United States Government promptly and without hesitation covered up this account. In 2016 Dan's squadmate broke his silence about what happened that terrible day in Kandahar.
