Commies love political fiction. Today we debunk one of their tropes: that the disaster of Chernobyl was Mikhail Gorbachov's fault, because he was dismantling the Soviet Union, and therefore the quality standards had lowered because he was a class traitor.
We point out that
a) The Chernobyl disaster happened in1986.
b) The reactor design was from 1970, at the latest. Truly sovietic.
d) That Reactor 4, the one that blew up, was finished while Andropov was in Power (1983). The previous three had been built during Brezhnev's mandate.
e) The accident was the consequence of a really retarded test demanded by the soviet authorities.
f) There were a lot of design features in the reactor which were oh-so-wrong and, in combination with the stupid test demanded, let to the disaster.
And
g) Gorbie had absolutely no impact WHATSOEVER on the whole process, from 1970 to 1986,because the only decision taken during his mandate, doing the flipping stupid test, was something he had nothing to do with.
So, if ever you come across a commie who starts talking nonsense and Gorbachov man bad, let him have it!
