Georgian riot police beat up David Kvartsava, an oppositionist and leader of the anti-occupation movement “Strength in Unity,” who in 2022, immediately after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, volunteered for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and participated in the battles for Irpen, Gostomel and Bucha.
In the video, Kvartsava criticizes the security forces for silencing the people while Russian tanks continue their creeping occupation of Georgia 40 kilometers from Tbilisi.
Today, the Georgian parliament adopted a Russian analogue of the law on foreign agents, which will put an end to its European integration and will finally bring it under Putin’s influence. Protests have been ongoing in Tbilisi for several weeks.
