Vancouver CA Testimonial - Jeff Gellman Seminars (2019)

A testimonial from my Vancouver, BC Seminar a few weeks ago. This family drove 15 hours to my seminar to get help after spending thousands of dollars on prior training to no avail. They were struggling with this dog’s behavior for six years and were at the point where they had to walk him in the dark to avoid encountering other dogs/animals/people. Their dog was making their life miserable due to his behavior, and just like so many other dog owners out there, they could not find solutions or answers. After just one weekend at my seminar, we were able to work the dog (and the owners) through some of their greatest struggles. The reactivity had caused the owners to lose confidence in the dog, they were afraid to bring him out anywhere, and they had little faith in their abilities to manage his behavior. After working with them both hands on and showing them that the dog was, in fact, capable of displaying some good behavior, we saw the energy start to shift. The owners grew more confident which meant the dog did better overall. The humans at the end of the leash play a much larger role in the dogs success than anything else. If an owner doesn’t know what success feels/looks like with their own dog, how can we expect them to continue working toward anything better than what they have now? This is why I stress the importance of teaching the HUMANS in the most simple yet effective ways possible. The dog owners need to be able to do what we do, otherwise the training just doesn’t matter. My seminars are geared toward people who have been struggling with their dogs behavior. I work with every person and every dog that attends. You will learn, you will laugh, you might even cry, and you will have a life changing weekend with some incredible people who share a similar journey.
