USS New Jersey, the 2nd most battle-ready battleship still afloat in the world today, heads to its final destination before entering dry-dock for a major restoration. No it's not moving under its own power. If times got tough and the US ever had to recommission battleships, most plausibly for cheap shore bombardment in the Asian Pacific, Wisconsin and New Jersey would be the first two ships to get tapped. I hope their killing days are behind them.
