Turkish ASELSAN's domestically developed Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar has successfully completed its first test flight integrated with an F-16 ÖZGÜR (Free) fighter jet.
The radar promises to revolutionize the capabilities of various Turkish aircraft platforms.
It's slated for deployment on the F-16 ÖZGÜR, HÜRJET, AKINCI, KIZILELMA, ANKA-3, and KAAN.
Integration with the KAAN fighter jet and combat UAVs like AKINCI and KIZILELMA is expected to propel them to 5th generation and beyond standards.
These advanced platforms will benefit from superior performance, low radar visibility (stealth), and additional functionalities provided by the Turkish AESA radar.
From the chip level to the final system integration, the radar will be produced entirely with national capabilities.
