Zool 2 (1994, PC)

Zool 2 is a platformer by British companies The Warp Factory and Gremlin Graphics Software. It was published by Gremlin Graphics Software and also came out for Amiga, Amiga CD32 and Jaguar.
Zool, the ninja from the N-th dimension, must once again come to the rescue. This time, he needs to prevent the villains Mental Block and Krool from wiping out imagination. This time, Zool is not alone, his girl-friend Zooz and his dog.
The game keeps the basic formula of its predecessor. Zool needs to collect a certain amount of items in each level. Once the indicator has gone to 99, he can go to the exit. The exit must be found, but there is an arrow indicating the direction of the exit. There is also a time limit. Every three levels, there is a boss fight. Zool can fire shots and swing a katana around him in mid-air. Like the first game, Zool 2 is also endorsed by lollypop manufacturer Chupa Chups, leading to various appearances of the Chupa Chups logo.
There are a few new abilities and power-ups. Zool can now climb around certain structures, for example, and there is a bomb which follows Zool around and can be blown up any time to kill off all enemies in screen. You now also have the choice to play Zooz instead off Zool, and there is a bonus game where you can play Zool's dog.
