Voor deze 17e aflevering ben ik naar het zuiden van het land gereden. Een weg die ik al jaren rijd, ik ging namelijk naar het huis waar ik opgroeide nadat ik naar Nederland verhuisde. Dit om een podcast op te nemen met mijn stiefvader en huisarts Jan Vingerhoets.

Jan heeft een eigen dokterspraktijk in het Zuiden en was een van de eerste artsen met een "Coronakliniek". Een kliniek gebouwd om in maart patiënten op te kunnen vangen die verdacht waren van het hebben van corona. Dit was van korte duur, want niet lang daarna begon hij zich uit te spreken tegen de maatregelen. Zijn artikelen bereikten (en bereiken nog steeds) onwijs veel mensen, en daarmee schudt hij flink aan de medische boom.

We spreken over hoe voor hem het afgelopen jaar geweest is, zijn "wakker worden" proces, het artsencollectief, de stand van de wetenschap, het vrije woord, de demonstratie op het Museumplein waar hij met andere zorgmedewerkers en veteranen bij aanwezig en nog veel meer.
