Triggering, Arrested Development & Personal Responsibility (from March 2019)

I made this last year but its so relevant right now. In our culture there is a push to reinforce victim mentality and learned helplessness. People jump on information and are to quick to judge. They often lack the patience to do deeper research and field work, and the anti intellectual sentiment is a defense mechanism for this lack. Watch out for the virtue signalling and "surface over substance" that is the new normal on social media. And above all else I have learned the hard way to avoid helping people who do not want to help themselves. Don't confuse this with "victim blaming". Personal responsibility is the ability to respond....able-bodied adults have more personal responsibility than babies! My own tedious experience with these life lessons has led me to be more STOIC, and has resulted in amazing healing.
