One of the ways an abuser can abuse you well after you have discarded them is by keeping you fixated on what they did. They walk a fine line between exposing themselves and keeping you attached to them.
They would want to openly expose themselves after having done so much to you because there will be significant trauma when the target understands the level of evil that had been working against them in so many ways for such long periods of time. They would understand and become traumatized by all the life this abuser had achieved in sabotaging.
However, they can't openly expose themselves too early because then the target will get away before sufficient damage has been done.
If you haven't experienced any of these perpetrators at a close and personal level, I wouldn't expect you to understand. Before the Internet I thought my family of origin case was a unique anomaly, one in a billion. My chief perpetrator was/is so slippery and crafty, I can appreciate why it takes so many targets such long periods of time to come to an adequate level of understanding. Online materials can be very helpful.
How can they be so effective against human beings with souls from God if they are not principalities of Satan?

I agree, but I've also had a great need for analysis and understanding. I always wanted to understand my past, and the experiences I had as an adult, though traumatic, allowed me finally to piece that puzzle.
We just have to be careful not to want 100% understanding because that isn't possible. We can understand to a good degree, and then we need to figure out how to positively apply that understanding.
Wakeman says, "May you walk in the spirit and be free from all evil. God bless you!"
