Mass protests in France, caused by the murder of a 17-year-old boy, have lasted for 3 days. Protesters set administrative buildings, police cars and buses on fire and smashed up stores. The police use tear gas.
The geography of the protests also expanded — rallies in the cities of Nanterre, Toulouse, Lyon, Marseille, Strasbourg, Lille and Dijon. Law enforcers have detained 421 people these days, reports Figaro. In some cities of the country, riot squads patrol the streets, armored vehicles and helicopters are used. Meanwhile, French President Macron, who had earlier called an emergency meeting, was spotted at an Elton John concert.
