Imagine someone scammed you out of $1,000. Anger boils, wanting them to suffer more. But wait! The Bible (Romans 12:19) offers something unexpected:
"Don't take revenge. Trust God. He says, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay.'"
Now, how do you want God to "repay"? You have two options:
Option 1. Eye for an Eye (Scammer gets scammed back):
* Feels fair and immediate.
* BUT: Does it bring true peace? Does it restore your money?
*
Option 2. Let Go & Trust Restoration:
* Release anger, trust God to fix things.
* Maybe you recover your money in surprising ways (even more than was lost!).
* Or, God restores through new opportunities or support.
Key point: Option 2 requires a growth mindset and an open heart. Focus on learning, forgiveness, and moving forward, not revenge.
Bonus: Option 2 works even without a human wrongdoer. Lost something in an accident? Ask and trust God to "repay" you generously.
