I finally had the time to go out and make the range test video for this great radio from President. Range with the shorter, but stylish New York antenna was unexpectedly less than using a full size antenna, but still pretty impressive over all.
I was able to make out a weak signal at the full 18 miles, but it was a fluke I'm sure. For the most part this radio/ antenna combo seems suited for the 7 miles max range. Perfect for highway use, or car to car use. Overall I love this setup and my wife has even been known to use it from time to time!
