The good news is, I can tell you from a first hand basis, you don't need to grow crops to feed to animals, to kill the animals to only realize 30% of the animal. Eat directly from mother earth. Cut out the middleman. I have not eaten meat in 30 years, no dairy in 20. I can tell you first hand that humans don't need to eat the dead in order to survive and thrive. To some it may be something new, uncharted territory but the more you do anything, the better you get at it. After 30 years, Im still learning new things. There are videos of urban farmers growing so much food in a residential subdivision, they take what they need and sell the rest at farmers market. Imagine if everyone grew food like this? Maybe you grow the rice, your neighbour grows the potatoes, next neighbour grows the vegetables. You don't need 100s of acres but we do have to look out for each other.
