It is almost like they were trying to make the most noise with their offerings.
The Court of the Women, into which both men and women were allowed to be in, perhaps it was there that Yeshua was sitting.Yeshua sat down where HE could watch the people bring their offerings for the temple and put them in one of the trumpet-shaped containers. It was not the rich with their large gifts who caught Yeshua’s attention but a poor widow.

The temple to which they were referring was incredible. Wish they had pictures back then, but suffice it to say, that from world historians, rabbinical writings, oral traditions, it the temple was truly incredible. How they built it is still a topic for discussion today.
