the is an edited and re-uploaded version of the same video. there was a typo in the opening subtitle. the correction has been made and so we're putting this up again.
today's video is sponsored by Rennsteig Tools, Inc. which was generous to send us these grip pliers to do a review on. we have reviewed other products from this company as well and overall have been happy with the quality and performance of the tools.
in today's video we are doing something with the grip pliers which they weren't actually intended for:
since there was a project on the mill table that couldn't be readily removed and reloaded we went and clamped on a work piece to the other one and milled the slot in it that way.
the cutter milled through the entire thickness of the piece which was 10mm (3/8") without the work slipping out of the grip of the pliers. feed was by hand.
the other torture test is also featured in the video.
our sincerest thanks to Rennsteig Tools, Inc. for sending us these tools for review.
our bottom line recommendation is that these tools are welcome addition to the current tool inventory and we will be purchasing more of their products in the foreseeable future.
