YS 3: Wanderers from YS
PC Engine
The Super Nintendo Version of Y'S III: Wanderers from Ys was one of my fav old school Childhood Action RPGs when I first got my Super Nintendo in 1992, So I recently did a Comparision video comparing the Difference between the Super Nintendo Version,The Sega Genesis Version and the Turbo Grafx CD Version:
YS III: Wanderers from Ys - Ilvern Ruins (Super Nintendo vs Sega Genesis vs Turbo Grafx CD Comparisons)
Y'S 3: Wanderers from Ys
With Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA now out which was just recently released for the Playstation 4 (Which I recently got the game last week) and with the franchise now celebrating it's 31st Anniversary, I decided to do another Y'S 3: Wanderers from Y'S Comparision video!
This time I'll be comparing the Music and Stage of the Ilvern Ruins area comparing the difference between the Super Nintendo,Sega Genesis and Turbo Grafx CD Versions which I recorded these gameplay footages using 3 different Emulators. for the Super Nintendo Version,I Used SNESX9, for the Sega Genesis Version,I Used Kega Fusion for the the Turbo Grafx Version,I used Bizhawk!
The parallax scrolling and graphics in the Turbo Grafx CD version may not be the best with it only moving a mere 30 frames per sec,but it makes up for it with it's blood pumping Redbook Audio Soundtrack and having the easiest difficulty and best Hit detection. The Genesis version is much closer to the Turbo Grafx version than the SNES Port which the SNES's soundtrack is a bit on the weaker side and the SNES Port once again having Very Poor Hit Detection and the hardest difficulty but it's good for what it is which Tohkin House gave it it's own unique soundtrack=P
in the Original Turbo Grafx CD Version and the Genesis version, the stage was called the Alcano Ruins, but for some odd reason in the super nintendo version,it was renamed the Ilvern Ruins!
another thing you'll also notice is that in the super nes version enemies (Especially the Dark cloak Wizards and Fire Balls with Teeth) move much slower, while in the genesis version, the sprites are much more detailed and the enemies move at a much faster Rate dued to the genesis version having blast processing 60 frames per sec!
anyways enjoy ^^
Note: Remember guys,it's Pronounced Eeass, not Why's.lol, the Name YS is pronounced as Eeass,as your gonna put Batter Yeese into the Cookie Dough.lol…
Enjoy:D
