One way to approach explaining my idea to others is to go over the many popular notions that this is like. For it is not so unfamiliar as people might expect. I discuss the holographic universe, the notion we are in a simulacrum, quantum mechanics, and even Hinduism's advaita vedanta. While this idea winds up feeling like those popular modern notions that the young banter about, its starting point is in traditional western philosophy.
