A class 10 student suffered a cardiac arrest and died while singing the national anthem during the morning assembly at her school on Wednesday in Gundlupet taluk of Chamarajanagar…

The deceased was identified as 16-year-old Pelisha.

On Wednesday morning, the students gathered in front of the school for prayer. While singing the national anthem, Pelisha suddenly collapsed. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.

She was an orphan and was staying at a hostel of Nirmala school in the taluk.

Pelisha’s body is currently in the mortuary and the police have been informed about the incident. The incident took place at Gundlupet Police Station limits.
