Joe Martino: We Were Challenging the MSM Narrative Spending "Literally $0" When "The List" Dropped

"Those [of us in the independent media] that have been around for a long time know what 'The List' is," said Joe Martino, founder of The Pulse and Collective Evolution.

That list, which "contained a spreadsheet of all the different websites that were out there and labeled each one of them under one of six categories," essentially became a "precursor to all of the censorships and the purges and all these different things that happened afterwards," Joe explained at General Assembly Meeting #83.

"I think one of the big industry things that sometimes a lot of people don't realize is, the independent media, a lot of us that have been doing this for so long, getting 20, 30 million website hits every single month, we were doing that organically. We were doing that by being able to pay our writers, our content creators to do that. Whereas when the mainstream media gets 20 - 30 million website viewers in a single month, most of that, about half of that, is they're purchasing that."
