In the Recent production Mathews bows, they state that they are all quieter, VX3, then Phase 4, and now the LIFT. But is it? I put the Mathews Lift 33 up against my Prime Inline 5 ( a pretty quiet bow itself) to see if it makes that much difference!

FOCUS ON WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL: You can't lie to your body and make it do something it doesn't want to do. You can only show up and put in the effort and hope that it follows suit. Get in the reps every day, and everything else will fall into place.
Using another Hotel gym, thankfully they updated since my last visit with a cable machine
Circuit for the day - No pause or rest between exercises
-Pullups - To failure
-Biceps - Cable pulls- Aim for a 20 rep weight and go till RPE of 8 (leave 2 in the tank) x3 sets
-Cable Chest flys - Aim for 20 rep weight and go till RPE of 8
Rest for 3 min and repeat 2 more times

When planning for my Backcountry Elk Hunting Trip I decided to make my own pemmican to supplement my nutrition during the extreme hunting environment. The idea was to stay on the carnivore diet so that I was not drastically changing my diet to go Elk hunting. Unfortunately, I did not do enough planning of the physical activity necessary for the hunt and therefore I was woefully unprepared for the amount of calories needed for the amount of hiking we were doing.
Does that mean that the carnivore diet failed me, or that it doesn't work on these kinds of trips? No not at all - I just needed to plan better, and pack better for the adventure that awaited me!

When planning for my Backcountry Elk Hunting Trip I decided to make my own pemmican to supplement my nutrition during the extreme hunting environment. I wanted to make it at home instead of buying it pre-made and so here is how that turned out!

Unless you're hunting from a tree, you may be doing it wrong by having a short stabilizer on your bow! I think in most situations having a set of long and a set of short stabilizers can make you that much more accurate and that much more deadly! These Conquest archery stabilizers have so far been the best option I have used yet. I love these things... With a few minor complaints!

Have you ever gone Scorpion Hunting? In central Texas, they find their way into our house via the plumbing and will sting you while taking a bath, or trying to go to the bathroom! They are a real nuissance, and the only way to really keep them out is to make them dead! (at least around the house) Lennox, my 6 year old and I have fun chasing them around the Ranch house at night with UV lights! It's a great way to introduce kids into the skills and patience needed for hunting while managing the scorpion polulation! And If you didn't know, they GLOW! Enjoy!!

While the boys and I were fishing in a local bayou, we found some nutria nests around a large culvert, and decided to go nutria hunting, and make it a lesson for Jacob about cleaning and quartering an animal and processing the hide! we had a good time and even the wife came along to watch!
