This is a call to the Angels tonight to protect our loved ones!

I wrote this song during the Delta wave a few years back. My beloved was very sick and I composed the song as I was quarantined with him, nursing him. I need a way to pass the time that keep my mind on HIM - on his LOVE, GRACE and HEALING PRESENCE. It was so easy to fall into despair and fear. Truly that was such a strange illness that it came in waves and many times I felt like it was about to take me down. But I never got sick. And my loved got better after about 10 days of absolute suffering for us both.

I set this song to beautiful footage from a recent trip to the Texas Hill Country. The Bluebonnets are in full bloom, and I need His Presence tonight and this weekend as I place my Beloved in His Hands completely.

I'm late posting this because I was on a Panel for Don Jeffries I Protest. I talked about the way the Music Industry has been on the decline for many years, but truly I learned how much others are suffering right now. So I pray tonight to the Angels to be with us, to ease the suffering in this time of such intense... intense... I'm not even sure what to say about these times when the wheels seemed have come off the wagon and everything is upside down. This is the best way I can put it...

"Therefore let all who are faithful offer prayer to you; at a time of distress, the rush of mighty waters shall not reach them.
You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with glad cries of deliverance." Psalms 32: 6-7

May you Go with God in these Troubled times and may our collective prayers neutralize the plans of the enemy.

God Bless!

I'm posting my Friday Night Video one day early in observance of Good Friday and Easter Weekend - I'll be off all social media.
This song will help to align you to God's will. If you've forgotten the love you are at your core - listen and watch these images to be gently reminded.
This song I spoke about in my recent Radio show on Freeworld.fm. I wrote this song long ago as a Mantra to help align myself with the Will of God. In my 20's I was very rebellious and by my 30's, when I wrote this, I truly wanted to be in alignment. But I had so many programs, ancestral traumas, and bad habits that I knew it would take the discipline of daily practice for many years to face the rebellious nature that kept sabotaging my efforts to align with God's will. I had to build trust in my relationship with God and that takes time. So this song was written to keep my mind and heart focused that direction.
Over a decade later, it seems to have worked. But truthfully, I really haven't been listening to this song. IT's been like 5 years since I listened to it. But songs are magic. And it seemed to have worked anyways, somehow. As I've never been so in alignment with God's Will. And you might ask, how do I know? The peace, the certainty, the fruit of the spirit. For more on this, check out my radio shows listed here on YouTube or live from https://freeworld.fm

https://youtu.be/Lp-sAKrYiRQ

In the meantime, through entrainment, this song can work for you too! It's only $1 on band camp to download..

https://lyndol.bandcamp.com/track/will-of-god

Or you can listen to this for free here forever! Remember, it doesn't have to be everyday. But when coupled with your willingness to align to God... You'll get there!

God Bless!

Where do I even begin? Bringing this video to you today feels like a miracles for many reasons. Late last night, I had no idea what video I would make and release today. My composition deadlines keep me on work that I can't share here on youtube (commission for hire)
I honestly also took some personal time this week to take care of mind body issues - a re-balance I needed, but left me with out something to post and a very busy Friday!
But I've been working on my faith and trust. Prayed all day yesterday about it. And what do you know? I woke this morning to find this little gem of a video from Rockwood Music Hall with the Descant Trio from 2019!
I never used the footage because the video team I hired had a major issue. I hired 2 cameras for this show. One for the wide view, one with close ups. The wide view had a card issue and only got half the show. The footage in this video is from the 2nd close up camera. I guess I thought it was unusable. But when I found it this morning, I knew it would work perfectly with the footage I had taken recently. God's Grace is so kind. I'm so very thankful.
I truly miss playing with Kevin and Uri, and this has lifted my heart to hear us play. In particular, this was a fun song for us in that show because Uri, the drummer, wanted to play these squeaky sounds in the breakdown. Kevin and I weren't convinced, but when a creative and skilled drummer like Uri gets excited about something, it's best to Trust his instincts.
And man did he nail it. When I took this footage of a slow train in Texas, I knew it was for something. And turns out it worked PERFECTLY with Uri's mournful sound effects to express how difficult life has been lately and how much I've had to do exactly the message of this song... to find that inner light and love that will not only bring me through the low moments, but transform all in it's path given enough time and faith.
I offer that to you today. I pray you are able to lock into your power and find that courage to remain calm in the middle of the Storm -which hit here literally last night and kept me up so late! But the sun is out now, with the most amazing Spring weather as I head into the weekend rejuvenated - my Friday deadlines accomplished with time to spare.
God Bless!

Shout out to Brittany's Garden in Fayetteville, Tx. I got this carrot from William and just fell in love. Since I kept singing this ZZ Top song to her, and didn't want to eat her - decided to just produce a quick parody song and video.
Keepin' it light this Friday. Hope to bring a laugh and smile to you with a gentle reminder to visit and support your local farmer's market - their veggies are absolute stars!!!

I'm still in the rodeo mood, so releasing a song I recorded a year ago for an audition.
I've always loved this song because when I Garth Brook's in High school, Trisha Yearwood was the opening Act. Years later, they married. Though this was the beginning of Pop Country, which is really when I stopped listening to modern country, Garth and Trisha were also the end to the old school country - in my humble opinion. And this song is just so small town romantic. It exudes innocence and wholesomeness that is so missing in the world. I guess I'm nostalgic for simpler times, and something wish I could go back to the 90's and live it all over again. Many decisions would be different and I'd certainly believe in young love and marriage. Somehow I've become less cynical in my old age, which is amazing considering how corrupt our world is. I guess I'm seining that we always have a choice to chose innocence. To choose love. And being corrupted by corruption, even when wide spread, is still a choice.
I've set this to pics from my small Texas town road trip last weekend. I LOVE pines and show case them in this photo essay.
Hoping you have innocence and love in your hearts this weekend. May we all believe in young love again! I've seen it work out many times, if the hearts are humble and willing to learn to love every day for the rest of their lives.

This song was performed last summer. But I've been feeling the call of the road. It's Rodeo season here in Tejas, so I wanted to do something at least kinda country for my Friday Night Premier.

When things get tricky, you can always go for a road trip. Clears the mind to watch the passing landscape and it's WAY more interesting than netflix.

And... this is one of the best songs to listen to and sing along while you'll on the road.

Adventures in 432hz

This is my original Song Let it All Krumble, played on my freshly tuned 432hz yamaha baby grand piano. I placed it with very symbolic and impromptu videos to drive the point home.

I wanted to post this song because I talked about it recently on 2 different occasions (see below) - getting into the details of why I wrote this and how it can be an antidote for the scary times we live in, as things loom on the verge of self destruction.... on so many levels.

This song is about having courage and calm in the middle of a tornado. For more on this check out..

This videos demonstrates and explains an exercise I recommend to students all the time - to go out in nature, sing songs you are working on and walk the rhythm out while you are singing.
It is helpful in so many ways as the video demonstrates, then describes, but here's a quick list
1) Memorize songs
2) Work on pitch (a cappella)
3) Opens up your singing voice for a variety of reasons including not worrying if you are bothering anyone
4) Creates relaxed Muscle Memory as nature puts you in a relaxed state
5) Walking the rhythm helps you to internalize the rhythm - a valuable skill for singers

This is a demonstration of my kind of music practice where you are working on both the left brain skills of music in a grounded way whilst developing your creativity and soul connection to your voice/music.

This is from a recent talk on the power music had to transform my life and the many students I've taught in my 15 year career.
Inspiration for anyone thinking of learning an instrument at any age, as well as those looking to quit their corporate job and follow their passion to have a career they love and know is contributing to society.

It's Friday again. Don't have many words to write today. But instead I'm listening....

This song was played the first night of my freshly tuned 432hz piano. I was hoping that the heavenly frequencies of this tuning would usher in the voice of God, and the clarity I've been praying for.

This video is from the first night of my Yamaha Pianos new tuning to 432hz. Why 432hz?

This video highlights the places that 432hz is found in nature and the cosmos. I try to encapsulate the essence of why 432hz. But I got into much more detail in my blog, including my initial experience with my newly tuned piano and why it's not that easy to hear 432hz music in today's modern more...

https://lyndol.com/blog/2024/1/26/adv...

I have so much more research to do and more videos/blogs that are part of this series of Adventures in 432hz. But I want to make sure and thank Jonus Maluik for his book 432hz: The Magic and Mystery of Music and Sound.
IT's a wonderful read for anyone interested in learning more on this subject and my own research so far as relied on his works heavily.

The song in the background is Patience People, by John Foley. It's a song they played in the 80's at my Catholic Church. I have found such comfort in it lately, as I am working on slowing down, being present, having patience with loved ones around me. I only found the sheet music through a friend and there are so many other songs that John Foley wrote that I love. I hope to share more in the future.

I hope this video brings you strength to have faith in these times, that there is an order to the Cosmos beyond what we understand. And that there are things we can do to re-align with the love and goodness at the center of it all.

What a blessing! I've been booked for so many Christmas Holiday Event. What a joy to play for these private and public events, but also - what work! I've been so busy, I haven't had time to post videos, compose, or do much else but play Christmas music.
This week's video Premier is my ALL TIME Favorite Christmas Hymn - Angels we Have Heard on High. Since I was a girl, I've always loved imagining choirs of angels singing with me as I sing those Gloria's. I wanted to send out these angelic vibes tonight to any and all who have forgotten how loved and cared for they are!
As I've been spending so much time playing at Private Events, I've been thinking a lot about this work. There seems to be a market still, which I'm so grateful for. Even with DJ's, AI and lack of exposure to live music in younger generations, there is a niche. Dare I say growing? And I don't think there's that many skilled musicians that can fill the demand.
So I also want to inspire ANY musician feeling a calling to this work. We need you! I'm sharing this video to offer a transparent look at what it takes.

First of all, my last video was from a recent rehearsal. So you can get an idea of what I was sounding like when practicing.

https://youtu.be/m0n-9AldGD0?si=rW_Sg...

Then today's video gives you an idea of what I sound like from one of the gigs. I was hired to play background music. When providing ambiance, volume is crucial. Not too loud to inhibit talking, but not too soft either. I'll get into this in more details in a future post.
But the point I want to make here is the challenge of playing background. The chatter, the commotion, the party itself can be really distracting for musicians for a few reasons.

#1 - Musicians that are highly motivated by attention will start to get their egos ruffled. I've seen this many times with musicians I've played with. I personally have always just loved playing music, in many ways alone more than in front of others. So getting to play for people with out their strict attention leaves me feeling less pressure, and more playful. It's all about the atmosphere and I can focus more on the psychological and physiological effect of the sound waves I'm creating on those around me, rather than captivating their full attention (which is much harder these days). So this aspect of the gig doesn't bother me. But does some musicians and can affect their mood and subsequently their playing.

#2 - The noise and distraction makes it hard to concentrate and this affects your playing. Though people aren't listening to every note, you never know when someone is listening and have to play with precision. This has been the challenge for me, to not get distracted and loose technique to a jumpy mind. This can be exasperated if you are only practicing in quiet, dedicated music spaces. Real life is messier than that.
One trick I've used is to play podcast, the TV in the background when I run sets for gigs. I also use gig software on my ipad that I pr

I wrote this song about a Friend's 80 year Old Mother, whom I met in the middle of nowhere Kentucky, back in 2018. I had driven out to Kentucky for a small tour with a fantastic Singer Songwriter.

At that time I had been living in Brooklyn for 8 years. It's safe to say I was disillusioned with not only the Music Industry, but Brooklyn Culture in general. I felt that pretense was everywhere, and I was tired of it

So many New Yorkers actually seemed to fear rural America. And most of my circle of friends thought I was crazy to drive out alone for these gigs in Kentucky. And I have to admit to many doubts coming up for me as I found myself SO out of my element. Had I not thought this through enough? Were all my friends back in NYC right?

But that's when I met Geraldine. She was so kind and gentle with me. She set me completely at ease. I felt so safe and cared for in her presence. She fully embodied a humble, yet fulfilled woman. Her lack of pretense made such an impression on me, in contrast to where I had just driven from.

My heart began to burst as I realized there are so many kind, warm Americans that never sought after fame or riches or worldly success. They are content to live quiet, loving lives full of integrity. These Americans die quiet, unremarkable deaths, with out any fanfare.

Since I was already in my 40's at this time, I was beginning understand that Women Like Geraldine are wisdom incarnate. The striving ambition of my youth had run into a wall in Brooklyn. Worldly success seemed to loose it's meaning when you see behind the curtain in the Capital of the world, so to speak. (NYC)

I was humbled and felt so honored to meet her. If I had stayed in my bubble in NYC, I never would. It seemed to me that my faith was rewarded by getting to meet Geraldine. And my faith has been growing ever since.

I only had the one visit with her. And when she died a few years back, I was in Nashville. I stopped and wrote this song on the spot for her. She slipped quietly away, but left such a sadness and reverence for the small circle that knew her. But no one more than her only Son.

Geraldine the song came out in one 30min session. But it took me years to get it recorded and produced - (even just self producing it - maybe a bigger production to come) I was aiming to make a video of it with the pictures I had taken from that trip to Kentucky. But, I lost all of the images in a iPhone disaster a year ago.

I've been out visiting a lot of rural places lately - reconnecting with so many wise, unpretentious people. So it seemed like the right time to finally release a video of this song. I decided to set the song to these rural images I've captured in the last month; though they are from Texas, not Kentucky. Very different states indeed, but I just couldn't wait any longer to get this song out in the world.

It still amazes me that the group think of NYC villanizes people like Geraldine, when in fact, they could learn so much from someone like her. It's all just misunderstandings, in my opinion. Americans agree on more than we disagree, if we could only talk truthfully and from the heart. And people like Geraldine are misrepresented in the media that New Yorkers, and big city Cosmopolitans consume as if it's the whole truth.

I release this song today in dedicated to the repose of the Soul of Geraldine. I continue to Thank her for giving me a role model of a different kind of Heroine; a quiet, wise woman with a Grateful Heart.

Song will be available for download soon.

When I improvised this song (in the background) it my first time in a studio. I called it Trust improvisation and for that 5 minutes, I just trusted that the next note would come as it should.

It fit perfectly with an improvised musing session on my walk early this new year. My walking mediations help me work things out, and I spontaneously decided to capture those thoughts on video.

Shadow Work - as I define it - is intentionally shining the light of your consciousness on hidden aspects of the subconscious. As Jung describes it, the shadow disappears once it sees the light of day.

This is deeply personal work, but I'm sharing in this video some revelations I had about it after more than 20 years of experience using creativity in this aim.

I hope to inspire and help others on this similar journey to wholeness and healing. In my opinion, we are now doing collective shadow work as we face ugly aspects of our society that we have wanted to hide and deny. But it is only by exposing them that we can change them. ... and we can change! When we have the courage to face all that is keeping us stuck! It takes courage to trust this deep! But as long as we don't give up, our victory over our shadow side is assured!

If you are lucky enough to find someone willing to battle by your side, every day, you better be thankful. You better be ready to offer patience, forgiveness and live in courage. Whether it's a day, month or years, having authentic relationship is more valuable than anything tangible on this earth.

As I'm capturing my thoughts at the start of a new year, I'm finding many of the songs I wrote and performed the years leading up to Covid were exploring relationships YEARS before I was ready to come out of my solitude.

(More on this on my blog... lyndol.com/blog/2023/1/3/when-in-rome-the-promise-for-2023-collective-shadow-work )

That's why I'm sharing this video today of When in Rome's The Promise. I played it at my CD released show 5 years ago to this day! So apologies for not getting this oblast friday. I was with my trio at Rockwood Music Hall the night a BombCyclone Snow Storm hit. It was an epic night and someone special was in the audience. It's all coming full circle.

Last week, we had to hit the road on a cross country trip to get to a loved one quickly who was hospitalized. I just didn't have the time to get the video up on Friday, my apologies. But I was working on it that day, on the long drive thru America. When I listened to the words of this song, I knew it had to this song for the video...

“When your day is through , and so is your temper

You know what to do, gonna always be there

Sometimes if shout, it's not what's intended

these words just come out, with no cross to bear”

This is The Promise. We can love and be loved even when we are imperfect. And when we face loosing a loved one, this is when it becomes crystal clear how important our relationships truly are to us. It's amazing that we can forget this!

Relationships of any kind are so hard. But SO worth it. When someone sticks around even after they've seen you at your worst, then you’ve experienced a mature and kind love that is so rare these days.

I'm sharing this as a message of hope and inspiration to you for your relationships, your country, your world.

I set it to some car videos of the American Country side, Dec 30th and 31st, 2022 - A year when a lot of ugliness came to the surface for all of us. And you could say we are doing shadow work collectively now.

But if you get bogged down in the darkness and shame of this world's shadow, this video is to remind you of the Promise of love. And the deeper depths of beauty – yours, our country's, our world's.

Will we learn to live in peace with each other this year despite our differences?

Now that so much of our Dark side has come out of hiding, will we learn to heal together?

Will we be able to forgive and still be there for each other?

Will we help each other to become who we are destined to be -an expanded, more loving version?

“I promise you, I promise you! I will”

Happy 2023! Blessings to you and yours!

Never too late to Learn an instrument!

I quit piano as a girl. When I picked it back up in my 20's, it turned out to be one of the best decision of my life.

Now I love inspiring others to learn an instrument. The powerful combination of our creativity and music is still yet to be fully understood. But the effect is felt in every area of our lives.

DM for a free 45min consultation online today! Especially if you feel your creativity is blocked.

And you get 25% off all lesson packages this month, in the spirit of Christmas!

Special thanks to my student Barry who inspired me by completing the NYC marathon this year, as well as picking up the piano as a 3rd instrument in the past few years! Bravo! Hoping he inspires others as well!

You can do it! Whatever it is you dream!

If you knew the kind of unworthiness I've come from, then you would be as amazed as I am at how my life has turned out. The dreams I set out for seemed absolutely unreachable most of my days. But I kept listening to that quiet voice and doing my best on each and every step of my journey.

When I wrote that song, I was at the top of my own mountain and the view was glorious. I wrote I Dared to commemorate that first decision I made almost 20 years prior to follow my heart. I wrote it to thank myself for being brave. And I wrote to acknowledge that living for real is the true goal.

Living for real might mean something different to each of us. But we know we've made it by the great joy, fulfillment of purpose, healthy relationships and sense of peace that populates our minds; instead of unrealistic expectations. These gifts are the fruit we bear for those around us. And it's more valuable than all the gold and $ and fame on earth.

It's been years now since I wrote that song. But as the life of a song goes, it's been on it's own journey to being produced by the perfect person - Colin Hua, and then having a music video made by the visionary Director Eric Norcross. It takes time and patience, but I Dared has found her true expression. I’m very proud and thankful.

I release her today to acknowledge and inspire others on a similar journey;

For those who are not satisfied living according to other's expectations.

For those who don't want to play it safe.

For those who are shy and afraid, but showing up for their life anyways.

For those taking those terrifying steps towards what they truly dream of.

For those who are listening to that quiet voice calling them to truth.

For those who won't give up on themselves, even when the world has.

What is it that you Dare today…

Next Friday - 11/18/22 - I drop a new Music Video for my (soon to be released) new Single - I Dared!

My favorite Director - @ericnorcross and I went on location to NYC and Staten Island to capture the spirit of this song, which is an inspirational Rock Ballad designed to acknowledge and encourage the brave souls who dared to listen to their own minds, and live the authentic life they were called to gently with in their hearts.

I was such a shy girl that I couldn't sing in front of ANYONE until my late 20's. But something deep in me longed to be a songwriter, and I couldn't ignore it any longer. Can anyone else relate?
My story is not one of Fame and Riches. But believe me or not, it's even better than that because it's uniquely mine. And the sense of joy and peace that comes from aligning with our soul and reclaiming our true power is beyond all the material gain this world can offer.
More to come on this subject but just teasing now with this video. Stay Tuned!

Video to Drop Next Friday! I'll be in the Live Chat for the Premier, so hope you'll be there... 11/18/22 @ 8pm Eastern

This original was written last fall, all about letting go of the past in order to make room for the new. Forgiveness being the way to do just that. This video is encoded with healing vibes and shared with the intentional offering of renewal and fresh perspectives of the old - something we could all use.

I've been doing Live Seminars for Pianogroove.com for the past year, and LOVING exploring jazz standards with adult jazz students. This song was requested. And I just wanted to share it here after I enjoying it so much. Being creative, even with Covers, is one of my great joys. Helping me to stay centered, grounded, peaceful and healing in crazy times.
It's a versatile tune that can go so many different directions in tempo, and style.
Dedicated to musicians out there, hopefully the chart and keys will help you see how I played this one take improvised version after a few weeks of exploring the melody, harmony and scales of the piece. Why Do We Fall - a jazzy tune about Narcissist/Empath relationship patterns. It was a rabbit hole I went down at the time whilst having a crush on a guy who was in a toxic relationship with a girl who was treating him like dirt.

Discernment is something I've gotten much better at since writing this song. Boundaries and Discernment go hand in hand. It's never too late to learn healthy relationship patterns. But you first have to let go of your past. Releasing this video is my way of releasing all my past mistakes, and praying now to continue this new, fresh start in all my relationships.
I hope to inspire with this song to seek out any help you might need to get your own fresh start, or to trend in an even more loving direction with any relationships you are in presently.

I wrote this song many years ago, when I experienced my first NYC Blizzard. Being from Texas, I'm still amazed by snow and put this video together as I watched (and filmed) another NYC Snow Storm, the 2021 version.
This song still captures perfectly my love of snow. And holds with in it the codes for a deeper understanding of peace, mercy and self forgiveness.
