In this session we continued and completed the trial where one Mondo was gound guilty of killing one Chihiro,a nd one Byakuka earned his nickname with me Barracuda by proving to be the kind of sociopath who will fuck with evidence when everyone's lives are on the line "just to make it more interesting." Oh and we did end with a "spooky ghost" still.

The tittle says it all! I went in tonight not so much to progress the story but to try to grind. I played a few story missions in episode 1 on Hard mode and managed to get half a level, but then the real fun began as Praising (the very same one who runs the Sunlight Covenant Discord) and his wife showed up. She was new so we went with her to get her started. And while we saw why he called his new character Boom Boom, I also had a lot of dun chasing nano-dragons because they will fly away if you get in their face. I did NOT let them land. Fun was had by all! (And welcome Maising! Welcome to PSO!)

While I am enjoying this, I do not believe this title can really can be considered a game at this point. Still it's been interesting to get to know more about the cast and Monokuma has finally pushed some serious buttons. We've done it. As of tonight, we have finished all VR tests the lab could ask for, including a rather interesting dragon as the finale. We also learned we do not want monomates anymore as we are officially far enough alone that they are effectively useless. XD

But the lab is happy with the results so next time we play, we are likely going on a real mission the rest of the government on the Pioneer 2 is being kept in the dark about. This won't end well... for someone anyway...

Welcome to our first session for a game that has had my attention for a good long while. Today, we completed the prologue and set the basic setup, but we haven't really begun playing yet. Right now, it feels like a visual novel, but the idea is definitely interesting... 15 of the best students in their field forced to either live together for their entire lives... or kill someone in the class to earn their freedom. There are strings attached, though the game has not revealed the yet, so I wont either (no matter how famous one of them is). To be continued....

Tonight we took a break from beating the tar out of episode 2 as we had a full team ready to play, so with full backup, we took our first dip into "very hard" skill level... and man I have to admit, I am SO glad they were there for this. For all the power I am running with, I was unable to even damage a lot of the things when we got to the ruins... but 11 levels later (yes we went up that much) all that begins to change... I have this feeling I am literally going to RUN OVER Episode 2 when we get back to it.

8-bit era Stealth games and jumping puzzles when the graphics don't always show you if you're over the platform well... so why not mix them together? I guess that's what the devs were thinking here, because that is what this game was doing. Add to it that you lose a huge portion of your health if you get caught, have to restart the section, and if you die, you restart ALL of the frustration without a save point and I just couldn't make myself keep going. Im going to be honest, this game has been going downhill since we lost Biggy, and this was just the end of the line. The game got it's 8 hours and I'm moving on to something better.

Tonight's session proved all the more just how overkill doing extra leveling has been so far. Soloing the last several missions of the VR Temple we took out a new rendition of the worm boss from Episode 1 with absolute ease! But we are not done testing yet... seem's the Lab has something even more to try us out on before we go on whatever top secret missions they have in mind... but top secret from the rest of the Pioneer government? This can't be good....

The name says it all tonight. Story-wise, the game is holding together for the most part, but gameplay-wise... yeah... tonight, we went back in time to stop a dancer from blowing up the only bridge in and out of town, killing literally everyone by starvation including the "love of her life" so he would be stuck with her forever. He may love her too, but yeah, this is the defenition of "crazy bitch syndrome." But with the bridge ready, we continued to chase down the Major's forces, only for him to show up himself!

But the game to back this... oh god... that's all I can say... a puzzle with half the rules missing and ma minutegame about button mashing and a bullet-hell dodging mini-game that is supposed to be maybe a couple minutes were most of the session. I say especially cause that last onectook half an hour to scrape by. Now I will admit, I am NOT a bullet-hell shmup player by any means, but when your ship is sliding like it's on ice, the controls for such precision type gaming are now working against you. This video is as long as it is mainly because this almost ended the game and I didn't want to come back to "try this again." The game is falling apart, and while I still intend to finish it... it's now more to finish the story then any real fun to be expected. HUGE change from when I started playing.

Tonight, we begin episode 2, and things are starting kinda... slow.... We are no longer working for the governor of the Pioneer 2, but now for "the Lab" who handles all research on all things Ragol. But right now, we are just being tested to make sure we are up to the task. To this end, I think the leveling we did before might have been EXTREME overkill, as the only thing that slowed us down was not being sure we could blow up walls we had to in the second test. Everything else went down ridiculously fast... This is what overpowered feels like. XD

With the first group of refugees rescued, we were appearantly not yet done with GhostBuster tributes as our next bossfight was with Vigo... yeah, You can take it from there without issue. Fortunately this boss was a lot more up front and kinda fun once I figured him out. He was also incredibly easy at that point too, but that is not to say this game didn't get dark towards the end of the session... but we can't quit now, we have a secret base to find and parents to save!

With DarkFalz down, it was time for a little R&R... and what better way then to grind the HELL OUT OF the next skill level in preperation of the next episode. With a group of friends to join me boss-rushing and even a gift from one of them in the form of a King's Arms+3 (thank you Aliza!), we took to storming the "To The Future" castle and finished on the perfect note as DarkFalz final form fell to "Fly me to the Moon." ...probably NOT this kid. Today was a much better run as we took all of 10 minutes to take down the bus driver and move on. We then found the resistance as the villainous man Heartless (yes that is his name) decided to bring the town down to rubble, so we are now trying to get the remaining people out! Of course this cant ALL go great as we went through a direct tribute to the Ghostbuster library scene... but with a bullshit boss fight. Beat it on the first try, but... doesnt make it less bullshit. Seriously we did. Exploring the forest, we found a camp of ghosts looking to invade and kill all of mankind! But with that discovery came the first real blemish in the game.... beyond literally relying on a glitch mechanic to get past the factory, there is the little fact that this was a portion of the game based on platforming... in 3D... with 2D graphics... yeah I think you can see where I'm going with this. Thank god it's over.
