Adrenochrome, is a chemical known to modern science since at least the 1930's. Despite a similarity in chemical names, it is unrelated to chrome or chromium. The chemical is a compound with the molecular formula C9H9NO3 and it's produced by the oxidation of adrenaline (epinephrine) in mammals. The chemical concentrates in the bloodstream during times of extreme fear 💀
