Watch us build a Wood Fired Pizza Oven for the backyard / garden. This is the first time we have ever built a pizza oven and we used cinder blocks for the base of the oven on top of a concrete foundation. For the burning chamber we used fire bricks. Covered the entire exterior of the dome with Sairset 3000 Refractory Mortar.
We hope that our DIY Pizza Oven project inspires you to build one for yourself so you can enjoy many different meals - not just Pizza - or bake awesome crusty bread.

After the foundation is finished, we finally can start building the base for the Oven from Cinder Blocks and to secure them in place we used PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive. We just managed to finish the base before a Thunderstorm hit and we had to stop working on our Project. We hope that our DIY Pizza Oven project inspires you to build one for yourself so you can enjoy many different meals - not just Pizza - or bake awesome crusty bread.

Our Wood Fired Pizza Oven slowly takes shape and looks already somewhat like a "to be Oven". The Fire Bricks are in place and the Refractory Mortar needs to cure, before we can finish filling the gaps.
