DIY - FLOW THROUGH VERMICOMPOSTING BIN - DIY

In this Video, Petra is building a Flow Through Vermicomposting Bin, to be used indoors during the Winter. After experimenting with different styles of bins, she decided that the wood build frames, which stack on each other, is the best and easiest way to produce wonderful fertilizer for the Garden by using Red Wiggler Worms (Eisenia fetida), which do all the work by eating kitchen scraps and turning waste into useful "Black Gold". Build it any size you like, add as many frames as you like and adjust to your specific needs. Saving horizontal space due to the vertical build.

Material and Tools used in the Project:
Lumber:
1x3x18 inches, 2 pieces
1x3x34 inches, 2 pieces
1x4x18 inches, 4 pieces
1x4x24 inches, 4 pieces
Lumber scrap pieces to cut stopper and handle
White Hardboard Panel 24x24x1/8
Sheet of Clear Polyethylene 6 mil
Wire Mesh or Hardware Cloth - I used 1/4 inch hole size
Wood screws 4x1 and Flat Washer
Brass screws 1 1/2 inch
Plastic Funnel
Tuck Tape
Cordless Drill
Hammer
Staples and Electric Stapler
Snip or any tool that can cut the Wire Mesh
