Uncle Remus.

In celebration of Black History Month, I'm going to try to rescue this classic film from the memory hole. Unfairly maligned as a racist embarrassment, it was well beloved by generations before the Professionally Offended got their way. If you actually watch it, you'll see that not one person of color is depicted in any negative light. But the depiction of former slaves turned sharecroppers in the Reconstruction era South *NOT* being abused, or seething with hatred for Whites, just can't be tolerated these days, as it goes against the narrative that has been used to weaponize Blacks against Western Civilization for the past half century or so.

The songs are great. The animation is bright.

"Oh, I knows. I knows. I'm just a worn-out ol' man what don't do nothin' but tell stories. But they ain't never done no harm to nobody. And if they don't do no good, how come they last so long? This here's the only home I knows. I was going to whitewash the walls, too, but not now. Time done run out."
