Gold Was Used As Money 6,000 Years Ago! So What? This Is A Weak Argument!

Gold dealers will sell you on gold being used as money 6,000 years ago so have all your questions ready for when they pull this ruse on you. How did merchants make change? Were there coins that far back? Should we stay with gold, because it has tradition. Maybe we should all go back to riding horses? How do we get to Asia from North America? Is it time to modernize and use a superior mode of transportation? Should we use bitcoin, which is truly scarce and is market driven not rigged? America went from 80% horse and buggy to 80% automobiles by 1914 in just 4 years. That technology was embraced. The Varna Collection was certainly not money. Jewelry, maybe. Coins came along 3,580 years later. If tradition is a good reason to stay with gold, should we stay with the bread made 6,000 years ago or the beer? How about bows and arrows? That was a nice tradition, but when the Europeans made rifles, the Native Americans got all shot up! So much for staying with tradition. We can move into the future where money is truly scarce and can be sent over the internet or we can be traditional and ride horses.
