The destination, Bodegraven, is the turning point for this ride.

The river Oude Rijn was the most northern boundary of the Roman empire. Along this border (Limes) they built many fortresses. Nowadays Roman finds regularly show up when dredging the river or building houses.

This channel is my attempt to share with you the peace and quiet I experience whilst riding my bicycle in the Netherlands.

*Until now I was working on ways to decrease the wind noise. Nothing I tried made a significant improvement. So now I've decided to accept the simple fact that the Netherlands is a windy country. Viewers who are sensitive to wind noise are advised to turn down the volume. In the description of each video I'll rate the noise. (None-light-moderate-severe)*
