Let's Play Broken Age - Part 15 - The Boy Who Lived In A Monster
Watch here for better quality: https://youtu.be/-Rsap3LK8q4 There's nothing more to do on Vella's side of the story so let's revisit Shay. Shay is in a bit of a shock at the moment. His Dad's AI is currently stuck in the sand trying to call out to him. Eventually he stands up to reveal he was a person all along. Shay hasn't seen his parents in person for so many years. Once they started pretending to be the ship's AI, he kind of forgotten what they originally looked like. Shay and his father are still processing a couple of things: they were never in space and their ship looks like a monster from the very outside. Shay has a look around Shellmound. He meets the Mayor who's currently got something stuck in his windpipe so he can't speak. He also meets Car'l who confirms Shay's worst suspicions. His ship was a monster that was eating young maidens. What he thought was a rescue mission was all a big lie. Shay goes into the nearby ship in the mountain where he meets Alex. The two briefly confuse each other as each other from different time periods. Alex was in Operation Dandelion about 300 years ago. While Shay's ship theme was about knitting, Alex's was about music. One day Alex's cello started talking to him. It called itself Marek and wanted Alex to take control of the ship. Thankfully, his ship was shot down and crashed before he could rescue any maidens. Twenty years later, his parents passed away so he went into cryosleep. Alex wants to get his ship up and running so he can fly back to Loruna and maybe track down any currently living relatives. He needs parts to do it though because looters stole from the place over the centuries. Shay offers parts from his ship when his father arrives to tell him that it reactivated and flew back to Loruna. With everyone stranded, they'll now have to get the parts back if they can be found. The ship needs a hypercan, some thrusters, ship sealant, which Shay's dad gets to work on immediately, a radiation suit, and an small genius who knows electronics.
