One assailant managed to escape, and police are currently conducting a search for his hideouts in the Kabarole district
Police are currently investigating the whereabouts of an assailant who managed to escape a gunfire exchange in Kabarole district between unknown individuals and Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) officers. It is alleged that, while on routine patrols in Kabarole district, UWA officers encountered a group of three armed men dressed in civilian clothes. A firefight ensued, resulting in the death of two assailants.
