Unfortunately that describes this song pretty well with regards to its intended purpose, but at least I had fun composing it!

Hopefully I'll be able to post more concrete information in the near future, but here's the rundown. I got composition work on a NES Homebrew project by KHAN Games, called “NESCape!”. It's an escape-room styled point-and-click game, with its main selling point being that you can use the SNES Mouse with an adapter to play this (the reason being there's a weird quirk in the NES/SNES where they share the same inputs, down to the four button control scheme, meaning games can technically support most of that if it's programmed in).
This song was originally composed as a sort of laid-back swing theme for one of its stages, but unfortunately that ended up being the first to get cut due to not fitting the tone the dev was going for. I decided to save the track in question and post it here as a standalone original. As the engine the dev is using does not support a lot of the fancy effects and volume changes I'm used to, I've had to bake them into the instruments themselves, hence why I'm using instruments for things I'd normally leave to effect commands. It's kinda frustrating, but at least the instruments don't take up too much space (and it's a good learning experience for me, at any rate).

I do not have timestamps for this track since this was composed before I made the decision to start tracking them per song. I apologize for the inconvenience.
