#4.2 Irreducible Complexity - Pr. Micheal Behe

Pr. Micheal Behe briefly explains his theory of Irreducible Complexity that he initially wrote about in his book, "Darwins Black Box". The premise is that if there is a cellular mechanism constructed by multiple parts that only if combined in its whole creates a function for the cell, taking out or adding single mutations or even two simultaneous mutations in one step will not be able to create such mechanisms. The flagship example is that of the Bacterial Flagellum (the bacterial propeller) which consists of 40 molecular parts. He demonstrates the idea by illustrating a mousetrap which has a minimum of 4 parts to be functional.
