We model division word problems to find the number of equal groups by using counters and putting the same amount into each group. Then we count the groups we have made. We discuss how to know whether we should use division or multiplication to solve a word problem. We find the number of equal groups to complete a table. We talk about the difference between finding "how many in each group" compared to finding "how many equal groups" there are.
