2nd Grade Math 3.11, Repeated Addition of Equal Groups

We can write an addition sentence (addition equation) for problems with equal groups. We count the number of items in a row and the number of rows. We can use counters or draw a quick picture to show equal groups. The number of rows will be the number of addends we will have in our addition sentence. The amount in each row will be the repeated addend. We show examples of writing addition sentences from equal groups. We solve two word problems that involve repeated addition and equal groups.
