The infamous "Kids for Cash" scandal where judges were caught putting kids in detention for years for minor offenses in return for cash kickbacks from the privatized juvenile detention center working with the judges. The horrendous crime almost went under the radar and the judges could have gotten away with it but for the sheer tenacity of a few parents whose families were shattered by these monstrous judges who pressed governmental and law enforcement into action. The question remains though how many such horrors are currently flying under the radar.
