You want to create #torque (#Stability ) in your #hips for all lower body exercises to keep your hips, #knees , #ankles , #lowback, and everything as safe and stable as possible. This will also create the most power, and strength as well. And will focus on working the correct muscles. If you don't create torque and stability your body will find it and create it somewhere else, which usually results in improper movement mechanics which will eventually lead to pain/injury/stopping working out all together.
