Evidence of Vikings in the Pacific Northwest

Viking cairns are located across the Canadian arctic and even on the Pacific coast. One in Quebec is called Thor's hammer. They were travel route markers. Norse artifacts and longhouse foundations have been found. They left Greenland and went down the Atlantic coast or through the Arctic to the Pacific. The Arctic summer is long enough if the right path is taken. Others went down Hudson's Bay or up the St. Lawrence to the Great Lakes and interior. Long houses, totem poles, textiles and boat building are evidence the Vikings made it to the Pacific coast, teaching the natives woodwork, sea mammal hunting, blade work, nets, fish hooks, various antler tools and social stratification. The large plank houses show up about the time of the Greenland exodus by the Norse. A boat shaped stone wall was found on Victoria Island in the Arctic. The Norse would turn their boats over and use them as roofs. This is likely the source of the crab people legends described in the linked article. It's well worth reading. Some of the Haida chiefs looked like Norse Vikings and had many of the same traits such as raiding the mainland in animal prowed boats that had sails. The Haida are larger than the other coastal natives and likely have Norse blood in them. Some of their tribal names have 'Dan' in them.

The disappearance of the Greenland Vikings is a great mystery. They must have went through the Arctic and down the Pacific coast or down the Atlantic coast. Others could have used Hudson's Bay or the St. Lawrence and then the Ohio and/or Mississippi. Numerous runes carved in rock have been found from coast to coast, including South America. Some of the few remaining Mayan or Aztec drawings show blonde men being sacrificed. Our Viking ancestors were brave and hardy people, as foretold in the Bible. Genesis 49:27: "Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil." The Danites navigated the rivers of the Black Sea, and practically all the major rivers of Europe. The Don, Donetsk, Dneister, Dnepr and Danube are all named after them. Some settled in what became Denmark while others went to Ireland as the Tuatha Dé Danann. In their serpent-prowed ships the Danes followed the Anglo-Saxons into Britain and formed the Danelaw, where they were Christianized. Genesis 49:16: "Dan shall judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel. 17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. 18 I have waited for thy salvation O LORD."
