Pro and Contra mvt,1 (Lyosha) by Louis Scapillato

This is the first movement of a duet for violin and piano. The first movement is in C Major and has a quite joyful feel. It should be played with energy and excitement.

This duet is based on the book "The Brothers Karamavoz" and each movement bears the name of one of the characters.

Thank you for listening to my music. I am a classical trained composer from Canada. Generally, I write music in the styles of neoclassicism and minimalism but I also experiment with atonal styles. I do not, however, think of myself as a composer of a style. The goal of my music is to create something enjoyable to play, listen to and look at. My main instrument is classical guitar but I can also play piano and violin.
