91% of PJ Coogan's listeners say Gemma O'Doherty's Cork meeting should have been allowed to go ahead (Ireland)
Gemma O'Doherty attempted to hold a meeting in Cork for her Anti-Corruption Ireland platform on Monday but the venues where she had booked for the meeting including the Imperial Hotel and the Spailpín Fánach all cancelled. Supporters of aarious "anti-racism" and pro-mass migration bodies are alleged to have hassled the venues into cancelling on her.
PJ Coogan held a text poll on his radio show on 96FM asking listeners whether or not they thought Gemma O'Doherty's meeting should have been allowed to go ahead. Coogan said he was surprised by the result when he revealed 91% of listeners thought the meeting should have been allowed to go ahead.
Coogan said he didn't think it necessary to have Gemma come on to talk on his show.
Coogan heard that O'Doherty originally intended to meet her supporters at the Imperial Hotel despite the venue cancelling on her and that a group of protesters against O'Doherty based themselves outside the Imperial ready to move to any venue that might host her.
People Before Profit supporters were heard to have been a large element of the protesters but an anti-defamation pro-Jewish group were also in attendance along with Anti-Deportation Ireland associates and the Connolly Youth Movement.
