As the ships meltdown, everyone evacuates. Shay makes his way to the extended bridge towards his ship where he sees Vella and also Marekai. Marekai attempts to grab Vella, but fights back and knocks him out. Shay's mother, Hope, arrives and she and Vella tell Shay to jump. Shay makes a jump and Hope tries to catch him, but fails. Shay falls, but is saved by Grabbin' Gary who is still in control of the boom arms. Grabbin' Gary sacrifices himself as the ship self-destructs. The ships are melted down into a bridge connecting the Plague Dam with the badlands. Families are reunited and Shay and Vella can properly meet. Over the credits, we see scenes of everyone living better lives.
