The other day, I found a whole second version of the soundtrack for the classic DOS arcade mech game Iron Blood. And I immediately got the thought to try mixing the alternate versions of the same tracks together.

Had a fiddle with this at about 1 or 2 am, fucked it up severely by forgetting to amplify the very quiet CD Rip audio, and didn't save the project files; so I had another go at it this morning from scratch.
This was a complete nightmare:
My assumption is that the AWE32 render of the song was played by someone *through* a PC with an AWE32 and *then* patched through another computer to record, giving it a consistent speed. However, the Soundblaster version of the song has an inconsistent time signature, which I'm assuming is from essentially recording the sound Audacity-style while playing, meaning it speeds up and slows down in tandem with the framerate.
I really really want to do my other favourite track from this OST, the song for Stages 6&7, but that song has the inconsistent speed EVEN WORSE than this one did and would probably take 5 or 6 times as long to do.
