The video author is typical civilian normie who didn't do thorough research and missed that the U.S. Navy was actually the masters at small seaplane operation from non-aircraft carrier warships with honorable mention to the Royal Navy who had fantastic warship sinking success with their Swordfish seaplane attackers. The USN also had the SC-1 SeaHawk seaplane fighters in WW2:
