Peter and the Rocket Team

Bruce the Shark, and his friends Rusty "Ripsaw" Turtle and Gumby read a book from Gumby's youth. "Peter and the Rocket Team" is an old pre-NASA book that talks about building rockets. Gumby has some background in rockets and missiles, and says that missiles have guidance sections, while rockets do not.

Gumby knew Werner von Braun and even went to the Moon once, his Dad had to rescue him from the "Moon Men". This might be why Gumby became an engineer and loves rockets and missiles? (We think Gumby is made of C-4 explosives, but he could also be made out of "rocket candy" ....sugar based rocket fuel too).
This book by "Corson" was part of an effort to get American children interested in outer space and developing space technology. While this is a book for small children, it is better than video games and rotting your brain with TV. So, read more books, and learn about outer space.
