British Palestinian plastic surgeon, Dr Ghassan Abu-Sittah, has spoken to his first conference in the UK since he returned from Gaza. He discusses how he treated patients with white phosphorus burns in Gaza, telling journalists, ‘When the Israeli tanks reached the beach camp, the refugee camp in Gaza City, we started seeing many more patients with very distinctive phosphorus burn injuries.’
