Bayonetta 3 - Playthrough Part 4

The next available chapter was a side mission with Jeanne. Here you play a 2D stealth platformer, where you have to find Dr Sigur. You can't summon demons, but you can stealth kill the enemies and shoot at them with several different weapons. This mode is just not fun. The guy who is obsessed with putting stealth missions in Platinum games, should be fired - they just don't work, especially in a hack and slash game. After quickly powering through that, Bayonetta visits yet another world to find the next Chaos Gear. This one is inspired by China - I guess this is where the Tencent money went to. Here you obtain a new demon, which is a train and it's complete ass to control. You basically slow down time and give it its path and any additional commands like hitting or shooting the enemies. The problem with that is that once you resume the time, it takes a while for the train to complete the path, meaning that the enemies may have moved away from the line and you can completely miss them. This was especially apparent in a challenge with a flying enemy requiring you to lift the train up to where it can hit it, which means you have to consider future monster position and the depth and height of the tracks. Eventually I completed it, but it felt like luck. Then Bayonetta meets Viola and both defeat a boss Homunculus. The conversation after that was weaponized cringe. Bayonetta teases Viola a bit, but that abomination of a character is overly serious and silly and incompetent at the same time - in short she's completely unlikable. It's heavily implied that she is Bayo and Luka's daughter, but I don't know how they produced such a mistake.
