An explanation of how all circles are similar because they have the same shape. We can prove this by using a dilation whose center of dilation is not (0, 0) the origin. We prove two circles are similar by using a center (0,0) for Circle A and a center (5,0) for Circle B with a radius of 2. Then we have another example where we prove that Circle C with a center (-2, 0) and radius 2 is similar to Circle D with Center (4,1) and radius 3. We figure out how quilt pattern blocks can be drawn with a scale factor of 3 using a coordinate plane. We use transformations to determine whether two polygons are similar by determining whether one figure can be mapped to the other by a similarity transformation.
