Day 14: A spectacular sunrise greeted me this morning when I stepped outside of my tent. A great way to start my first day in Oklahoma. Early in the morning, I make it to the beautiful Kiamichi River where I get to do several cool water crossings. After leaving the Kiamichi behind there is a long dry stretch and then finally, plenty of water again. I made it over to Cedar Creek and camped right next to the water and had an awesome night listening to the sounds of the rushing water.

Day 15: Started the day off at Cedar Creek and made an incredibly long climb and finally made it to the side of the ridge on Winding Stair Mountain and it was, as usual, an amazing view. After a quick break at the winding stair shelter, I head down to the Talimina scenic parkway and make my way over to Horsethief Springs and everything just feels so familiar, and amazingly, I didn't see a single person all day. Giant boulder fields and great views of Holson Valley all day.
I found the old campsite from my section hike in March of 2016 and I decided to spend the night there with 15 miles to the finish line.
