This project in some ways resembles a stepping stone to the Second Coming of Meshiach, but I believe His return will be exponentially more dramatic.
"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (from 1 Thessalonians 4:17 KJV) - And here is where Paul's expectation of the second coming did not take into account world events like the book of Timothy did,
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was." (3 Timothy 1-9 KJV)
The book of Jude also has some insightful comments of the last days: These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. (Jude 1:16) How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. (Jude 18,19) And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. (Jude 1:23) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (Matthew 24:12)
